Timecoded transcriptionsA timecoded transcription comprises English dialogue subtitled in English. It is not aimed at deaf or hard-of-hearing audiences, so it does not contain sound effects, labels and other elements specific to captions. A timecoded transcription would typically be used to render video content into searchable text, so that search engines can access your video content. Already some video technologies permit the dialogue of your video to appear as a search result in Google or similar, so long as you have a timecoded transcription. Captions and subtitles make your video searchable too, of course. But sometimes you might not want to include sound effects and the like, and that's where a timed transcription comes in. Maybe you don't want labelled speakers showing up in text searches, or maybe you'd like us to export our captions as a transcription and you don't want sound effects appearing in the middle of the text. We love a challenge. Whatever you need from your onscreen text, we can make it happen. |
